Product Information
This bracket has been custom designed to lower the Campergy 100W Compact into the vanagon luggage rack.
The panel is low enough that is hidden from view when stowed away and not be seen from a sidewalk. It also adds additional functionality by creating a semi-closed storage compartment under the solar panel while allowing the panel to removed and tilted up for compartment access and optimize angle to the sun.
Brackets, support arms, handles, stainless steel fasteners, quick release pull-pins with stainless steel tether, metal solar panel preparation guide, and handles to install on the solar panel are included.
The solar panel and brackets create a 19.6” x 42.2” x 2.9” (498mm x 1074mm x 73mm) storage compartment thats great for fitting outdoor items that can be exposed to the weather.
Options
Locking Bracket Set - Upgrade by ordering the locking bracket set to add a cam lock with dust shutter to the bracket set to mitigate panel theft and keep items from being removed from under the panel.
Early Luggage Rack - The early Westfalia luggage racks have the footmans loops where the brackets mount on the interior vertical surface of the luggage rack. Order that variant if you have that variant.
Installation
The luggage rack must be removed to install the bracket set. The kit uses the existing footman loop (luggage tie down holder) mounting holes require minor clearancing and otherwise does not require further drilling. For customers with a Renogy 19.6" solar panel, a metal solar panel preparation guide is provided to aide in drilling the quick release pin receptacles in the panel frame.
